Network configuration

One network card and IPCop running
If one network card is detected, IPCop will act like a firewall for the PBX.

NOTE: This feature is available only on Amatix Office.

One network card and IPCop stopped

The Amatix InstantPBX tries to configure the network card using first your DHCP server. If there is no DHCP server to answer to the Amatix's DHCP requests, the network card will be configured with the following settings:

If two or more network cards are detected, your computer will be configured as a NAT router. The network routing is managed by the IPCop firewall which is running in an user-mode Linux environment (UML).

The Amatix InstantPBX tries to configure the first network card only using first your DHCP server. If there is no DHCP server to answer to the Amatix's DHCP requests, the network card will be configured with the following settings:

Sending faxes

In order to send faxes, the Outgoing/Internal dial plan may be used to place the fax call. Only the PDF and TIFF files can be sent by fax. The faxes may be sent using the web based interface. You have to upload the file to be sent, the recipient's phone number and the email address where the notification about the status of the fax transmission will be sent.

PBX administration account

For the administration of the Amatix InstantPBX, you have to log in using the account "root" and the password "amatix".

A2Billing

For the administration of the A2Billing calling card software, you have to log in here using the account "root" and the password "myroot" or the account "admin" and the password "mypassword".
For the the basic configuration, you have to edit the configuration file /etc/asterisk/a2billing.conf.

The customers may log in here.

IPCop administration

NOTE: The IPCop router/firewall is available only on Amatix Office.

For the administration of the IPCop firewall, you have to log in to IPCop on console, using CTRL+ALT+F9 or CTRL+ALT+F10, or via SSH on port 222, using the account "root" and the password "amatix".

The web based administration of the IPCop firewall may be accessed from the Local Area Network at the following address: https://ipcop:445. The connection on port 445 is encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL). You have to use the account "admin" and the password "amatix".

Groupware

NOTE: The groupware software is available only on Amatix Office.

Amatix Office implements the groupware system using eGroupWare, Postfix, Dovecot and PostgreSQL.

The administrator account is already configured with username "admin" and password "amatix".

The config username is "config" an the password is "amatix". The header username is "admin" an the password is "amatix".

In order to enable the email system (SMTP/IMAP), you have to set the Mail Domain in the groupware configuration, and for the user accounts you have to set the E-Mail Address.

The email authentication (SMTP/IMAP) uses the accounts configured in the groupware's database. The available authentication mechanisms are: PLAIN, LOGIN, CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5. The communcation between the email client and the email server may be encrypted using TLS.
